The Tree Thorn

In the 2nd post of my exploration of my journal titled “LIVE IN THE QUESTION: The Path To Being An Empath”, I cover such topics as harmful hugs, garbage thoughts, and anger management.

A short story that I wrote:

I approached the tree and hugged her.

And she stuck me.

“Why did you do this?”

I asked, hurt.

“I meant you no harm.”

You didn’t ask before

you hugged me,” she

replied. And that is,

in itself, harm.”

“I will respect your

sovereign being, &

all others,” I said.

I also talked about garbage thoughts, and “stinkin’ thinkin’” – don’t torture yourself w/your thoughts! If you can do something about the situation that’s causing stress/hardship, DO IT. Otherwise it’s just taking up space in your mind, heart, and soul, weakening you at your foundation.

Lastly, anger management: life-long maintenance is required. Remember that keeping your temper in check is for YOU: when you feel more balanced, you feel better, and volatile emotions don’t make a bad situation worse.
